Gaming laptops are generally high performing laptops; few of them are much close to be the workstation replacements. However, the high performing parts even tend to consume more power and therefore power consumption has become an important aspect for the gaming laptop. A best way to find a solution to this is to add some higher capacity battery, however that adds up more to the laptop weight and nobody actually likes carrying the heavy laptop all around.
Therefore, gaming laptops have to balance out the weight, power consumption, performance and much importantly, the price. Many of these mentioned features are always inversely proportional.ACI Matrix is the first laptop based on Core 2. It has one fancy sticker right on the top, that resembles the logo of the Mercedes. As soon as you open it, it welcomes you or greets you with the 15.4″ Wide display with some glossy coating. “Color Shine” is what the company calls that glossy coating; various display and laptop manufacturers would address this with various terms. The build quality is very sturdy. It has a nice finish, however it doesn’t have a sexy and sleek finish of the HP DV2000 series. It arrives with the ATI Mobility GPU X1600 for every graphic intensive application such as the games.
Pros:
Solid performance, Good build quality, Can play the Doom 3 in complete graphics, three-year warranty.
Cons:
Average battery life, Bit heavy.
