HTC Rhyme

The article will provide a user with information on HTC Rhyme.

The housing is purple and covered mostly with material that is soft to the touch and feels a bit leathery, but there is also a ribbon around the middle of the device that is plastic.
There is a volume rocker on the right side of the device, a power button up top and a USB charging port on the side. When holding mobile, it feels solid.

The screen on the Rhyme is accurate and responsive to the touch. Direct sunlight does represent an issue which renders the screen hard to use; others in this segment do perform better in this area.

The Rhyme’s cameras are better than average and the camera application loads quickly and can take images at a reasonable speed. The lag between pressing the snap button and the image being taken is quick enough that most users should be appeased by the process.

LG Optimus 2x (P990) GSM/UMTS smartphone

The article will provide a user with advice and guidance on LG Optimus 2x (P990) GSM/UMTS smartphone.

Design, dimensions and controls
The build is excellent, but the front side of the model lacks any peculiarity.  The back panel is equally recognizable. A vertical metal element creates an illusion that the whole panel is made of metal, but it is only plastic. The cover is too thin, but fits well without any looseness.

The model weighs 144 g with the dimensions of 123.9?63.2?10.9 mm. It is quite heavy, but my HTC Desire offers 135 g, which is comparable. There is no much difference from rival models – Atrix 4G, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire HD.

The body is well-built, but uses plastic only. The sides have a metal resembling paint, but there is no metal here if a user scratches the surface.

The front hosts a grilled speaker and the proximity sensor to the left with the frontal camera to the right. Below the screen are located four sensor keys. All manufacturers now get rid of hardware buttons, which is not convenient, but it is not a serious issue anyway.

Much has been said about the screen protecting plastic. On the right side we see a paired volume rocker, while the top hosts an on/off button responsible for unblocking the phone. A 3.5 jack and an HDMI are covered by plastic caps.

LG uses a standard TFT matrix similar to several Samsung phones (Wave II, Galaxy S SuperClear TFT). Quality-wise this screen shows black as grey, which is visible in the menu with much background, but in real life a user will not feel the difference.

A user can customize fonts for a menu as this option is available from the settings. The default fonts allow for up to 14 text lines and several status lines. Fonts are large and easy to read.
The screen resolution is traditional 480?800 with the physical size of 4? (52?88 mm).

The model comes equipped with a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery identical to the one in Samsung Galaxy S, which allows carrying out a meaningful test. The results have been mentioned above in the screen section.

The manufacturer claims up to 11.5 hours of talktime (GSM) and up to 760 hours (30 days) on standby. To get the results a user will need ideal circumstances. The same applies to Galaxy S performance.
Memory and memory cards
The handset has 8 GB of memory divided into two disks: a system one (1.5 GB) and another disk for user data (5.5 GB). Hot swappable microSD cards of up to 32 GB can be used as well. The slot is under the back cover.

iPhone 4S

The article will provide a user with information and guidance on iPhone 4S.  There are three different versions of iPhone 4, they are the original one, the Verizon iPhone 4for CDMA networks and a slightly different design and the white iPhone. The latter has a different proximity sensor and some users claim there are more differences.

It is predicted that the release of iPhone 4S will boost iPhone’s popularity once again. It will be available in black and white, its dimensions will be 115.2 ? 58.6 ? 9.3 mm / 4.5 x 2.3 x 0.37 in, and it will weigh in 140g / 4.9 oz. – it’s the same size but it’s a bit lighter than the predecessor. All the accessories that a user has got for his/her  iPhone will work fine with the new one from cases to stereo systems at least for a year.  iPhone 4S uses a dual reception/transmission system.

iPhone 4S uses an 8MPix camera with autofocus which can be set by touching the screen, facial recognition, an LED flash which also makes a good flashlight, 1080p video recording, geotags etc. Photo Maximum resolution is 3264 x 2448, it features new and better software, new lenses. The A5 processor can make the first picture in 1.1s.  In iOS 5 a user can make pictures by pressing the volume rocker but it will affect picture sharpness.

iPhone 4S uses the A5 processor and Apple and it is fast.  It is not just in regular apps but in games also.

The storage space will be 64GB.  It will help when a user wants to have lots of apps, video and, especially, games and who have learned to save storage space will certainly appreciate the extra 32GB.

The Siri system can answer any questions about weather, it can help a user type a message or a memo, create a route etc.

HTC Titan

The Titan runs Microsoft’s Windows Phone Mango OS, and is HTC’s largest smartphone to date with its 4.7-inch S-LCD screen.
The HTC Titan is a giant of a mobile phone, and with its mammoth 4.7-inch Super LCD touchscreen, it’s the largest HTC smartphone to date.  Along with the HTC Radar, the Titan is also the first of the company’s phones to arrive running Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) OS – equipping the beast with over 500 new features. Chief amongst these is multitasking, enabling users of Microsoft’s platform to finally switch between apps without closing them. The fruity OS bump also adds Internet Explorer 9, HTML5 support, voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation and Twitter integration.

If the camera’s anything to go it looks like HTC are right, as the Titan wears an 8 megapixel rear-facing shooter complete with dual LED flash and 720p HD video. This is accompanied by a 1.3 megapixel front-facing shooter, which will take advantage of Windows Phone’s new-found Skype integration.  It may now come with Skype support, but Windows Phone is yet to find its way onto a dual-core smartphone – the Titan only packing a 1.5GHz single-core chipset. There’s no support for memory expansion yet either, with HTC’s latest phone packing a mere 16GB of built-in memory.

Other confirmed specifications include Dolby Mobile SRS surround sound, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and all of the usual Microsoft goodies (Office, Xbox Live gaming, Windows Marketplace).  The HTC Titan will be available in the UK from October, although its pricing is still to be confirmed.

If you want a smart phone to help you multitask, organise your work load more efficiency or to create office documents then the HTC Titan is for you!
